Hi! I'm an Assistant Professor of Computer Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD), where I lead the Haven Lab. I am also a co-PI at the Center for Cyber Security at NYUAD and associated faculty at NYU's Tandon School of Engineering. My research goal is to provide individuals with better control over their privacy, and protection from digital threats. I want to work towards a future where digital services are inherently designed with user privacy and security at the forefront.

Previously, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Imperial College London, where I conducted research with Hamed Haddadi on how we can have better privacy and trust in edge devices. I obtained my PhD at EPFL, where I was advised by Carmela Troncoso. During my PhD, I worked on metadata analysis in network and web privacy. Prior to EPFL, I worked on various projects, in the areas of IoT network security, sensor networks, and delay-tolerant networks. I obtained my MS in Electrical Engineering from ETH Zurich (2014), and my BEng in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore (2011).
